SMMH does to adhere to a traditional business model, instead acting as a cooperative or group practice wherein everyone helps each other. Instead of taking a flat percentage, asking for time sheets, or paying a salary, clinicians who join SMMH rent out an office space at a competitive rate and will be taught how to get credentialed, bill insurance, and start their own practice. Clinicians are free to leave at any point because they are neither employees nor contractors for PSM; you are a tenant in a space wherein you agree to help others as much as you were helped. Dr. Michael Tartaglia has over 10 years of experience running practices, credentialing providers, setting up EHRs, and billing insurances and looks forward to creating a community wherein providers help each other to feel independent. Rent includes the physical space, internet, all utilities, EHR (Simple Practice is used), and phone/email accounts.
